About

Dr. David Waugh has led many lives, though mostly in global positions, both with the United Nations and world travel to more than a hundred countries.

Who is Dr. David Waugh?

Presently, Dr. Waugh leads a double life in Arizona’s amazing ranch countryside and in Orange County, California.  He is presently semi-actively retired from a career in international service marked by remarkable excitement, diverse learning experiences, and non-stop adventure. Along the way, he encountered fascinating people and acquired unique insights into power structures, global challenges, and human nature.

Reflections of self, society, and civilization will be posted in blogs on this site. These will ultimately become a compilation, likely a book. You are invited to peer into these musings and reflect on your own personal world. Perhaps these might inspire ideas for your life story as you live it. They may ignite your imagination for the legacy you leave. Possibly your thought provoking stories, told in person and in print, will become your autobiography.

Dr. Waugh has had a long romance with writing. A principal component of his life’s work, education, and career is and has been writing, editing, and speaking about the issues presented and acquired by a life of global service.  The highlights below are necessarily abbreviated; a more complete description will show up on this page over time in contributions to this web page.
